Following the successful integration of shine in April this year, GreenCom is furthering its efforts to develop a fully functioning retail energy business, based on distributed energy resources. To do this, GreenCom has appointed Dr Felix Grolman as Chief Commercial Officer, with the responsibility for the brand shine, as well as the growing the energy community under this brand.
Grolman said: “The shine brand and our existing customers provide an excellent basis for a fast-growing energy community. GreenCom can integrate almost all distributed assets on the market and supply attractive end-customer services on top. We will build the world’s first fully functioning peer-to-peer energy community in which people are powering people.”
Regarding GreenCom’s white-label partners, Felix added: “To its white-label partners GreenCom will continue to offer a complete end-client interface, in addition to its energy management and IoT expertise. Our unique offer enables utilities to ready themselves for the future energy market. It also provides opportunities to other companies, especially from the automotive, technology and consumer space to enter the energy world with a turn-key product.”
With companies such as Grundgrün and shine, Felix has a proven track record of scaling up green energy businesses. Grundgrün was one of the leading renewable energy utilities in Germany with over 165m EUR revenues before being sold in 2016. shine was acquired recently by GreenCom Networks.
