Energy Communities Webinar – What it is about

Energy communities are a trend in Europe’s energy transition – in various forms, technical set-ups, and country-specific legislations. In several countries, new laws on Renewable Energy Communities set up incentive schemes greatly supporting the local sharing of energy already. Be it in the same district, on islands or behind the same sub-station – to give some examples. Consequently, net-metering, virtual net-metering, refund policies, reduced gird fees and additional services such as demand management can be applied within energy communities.

However, how can utilities, ESCOs and manufacturers profit from these developments and establish profitable business models? And what is necessary to run new business models based on local sharing of energy from household to household?

In the webinar, we will address these questions and also have a look at GreenCom’s showcase energy community – including a live demo and a presentation of end customer apps.
