LUMENAZA AND GREENCOM NETWORKS JOIN FORCES TO LAUNCH ENERGY COMMUNITIES

Berlin/Munich, 12.12.2019: Lumenaza, the software company powering the green distributed energy world, and GreenCom Networks, Europe’s leading Home Energy Management (HEM) company, work together to bring energy communities to German customers. Lumenaza enables GreenCom Networks to deliver green energy to consumers and prosumers directly.

The first joint project is the energy community in Brunnthal, which shine, a brand of GreenCom Networks, recently launched. Members of the community benefit from synchronising their generation and consumption. Moreover, community members will receive a cash bonus for each kilowatt-hour used in balancing the community’s electricity supply and demand.

Lumenaza’s comprehensive software platform enables complex and concise billing schemes based on the actual consumption compared to traditional down payments. By offering energy market roles as a service, Lumenaza ensures GreenCom Networks meets its regulatory and compliance obligations and significantly shortens the time-to-market while balancing demand and supply. GreenCom Networks’ powerful IoT solution connects and optimises the usage of energy-relevant devices, processes real-time data, calculates bonuses and provides granular billing determinants. Together, Lumenaza and GreenCom Networks offer an easy-to-use value proposition to potential community members.

Dr Christian Chudoba, founder and CEO of Lumenaza, comments: „GreenCom’s and Lumenaza’s capabilities complement each other perfectly. Together we offer attractive energy communities. These allow a completely new user experience: electricity is generated by the community; members even receive a bonus if they contribute to balancing supply and demand. Our expertise to make energy delivery and regulated processes scalable with modern software and GreenCom’s Energy IoT solution enable these complex processes.”

Dr Felix Grolman, CCO of GreenCom Networks, said: “The energy community in Brunnthal is an outstanding example of how technology can achieve carbon neutrality. We want to make it as easy as possible for members of the community to benefit from distributed green electricity. We are looking forward to replicating this success also in other locations.”
